General information, not advice
Our articles, how-to guides, glossary and other pages give general information about UK tax and accounting. They are not advice for your circumstances. Tax rules change, and the right answer depends on your own facts.
We take care to keep content accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee it is complete or current when you read it. Please get advice before acting on anything you read here. We only give advice to clients under a signed engagement letter.
Calculators
Our tax calculators give estimates based on the rates and assumptions shown on each one. They leave out many personal factors, so your actual tax may be different. Use them as a starting point, not as the basis for a tax return or a financial decision.
Enquiries and bookings
Sending an enquiry or booking a call does not make you a client or create any obligation on either side. We become your accountant only once we have completed our identity checks and we have both agreed an engagement letter. We may decline to act or cancel a booking at our discretion, and we will let you know if we do.
Using this website

- The text, design and calculators on this site belong to us or our licensors. Photographs are used under licence.

So far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this website or reliance on its content, including its calculators. The site is provided “as is”, and we do not promise it will always be available or free from errors.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under English law.

We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page applies when you use the site. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
