What affects your price
Prices start from the figures above and vary with the size of your business and the services you choose. These are the things we look at when we quote.
Get your exact price (opens in a new tab)- How many transactions you have
- A business with a handful of invoices a month needs far less bookkeeping and checking than one with hundreds of sales, card payments or marketplace payouts.
- The state of your records
- Tidy, up-to-date books in Xero or QuickBooks keep the fee at the lower end. Missing receipts, unreconciled bank accounts or a backlog to catch up add work, which we quote for separately.
- VAT
- Being VAT registered adds quarterly returns under Making Tax Digital. Schemes such as the Flat Rate Scheme, partial exemption or selling abroad add to the work.
- Staff and directors
- Payroll is priced by the number of people paid, how often they are paid, and whether pensions, benefits in kind or P11Ds are involved.
- Your sector
- Some trades come with extra rules: CIS for construction, stock for retailers and ecommerce, NHS pension forms for dentists and doctors, or charity accounts.
- Other income and assets
- Rental properties, investments, capital gains, foreign income or more than one business all add pages to a tax return and time to the job.
- How much advice you want
- Some clients want their returns filed; others want quarterly management accounts, a cash flow forecast and regular planning meetings. Each package can be built up to suit.
- Deadlines
- Work started well ahead of a deadline is straightforward. Urgent jobs, such as a tax return a week before 31 January or overdue accounts, may carry a higher fee.
Add-ons and one-off work
Priced on top of a package, or on their own if you only need one thing done.
- Bookkeeping
- Priced by transaction volume and frequency. Catch-up bookkeeping is quoted separately.

- Payroll
- Per employee per month, including payslips, RTI submissions and pension contributions.
- Self Assessment for a second person
- A spouse or co-director who also needs a return.
- Rental property pages
- Per property on a Self Assessment return.
- Company formation
- Incorporation, registered office and the registrations with HMRC that follow.
- Capital gains computations
- Property, shares or crypto disposals, including the 60-day residential property return.

What clients say on Google
5.045 Google reviews“The flexibility of Waseem and Cloudkeepers is fantastic for today's small business owners. They will work with you as little or as much as you need, providing tailored support. They're also brilliant for advice and generally making you feel like you have a financial ally!”
Laura M. “I instructed Waseem at Cloudkeepers for the first time this year to do my annual accounts using QuickBooks. Waseem was thorough, efficient and very helpful in explaining things to me. He was patient and always available. I’ve had a few different accountants for the past 12 years but Waseem was head and shoulder above them all in both practice and price. Won’t be going anywhere else next year.”
Fahad A. “The team at Cloudkeepers is prompt, excellent at what they do, and very cost efficient for a Micro-business like mine. Less than half the cost of a big firm, and twice as responsive!”
Brentton W. “I have used Cloudkeepers and have dealt with Waseem for the last 4 years. He is an important part of my business and is extremely helpful when I ask him questions. Great service, extremely professional and I can't recommend highly enough. If you are looking for an accountant in London, this is the company to go to.”
Gerry F. “I’ve been working with Cloudkeepers Accountants for several years now, and I’ve always found them to be trustworthy, efficient, and highly professional. They’re responsive, knowledgeable, and make the whole process straightforward and stress-free. I feel confident knowing my accounts are in safe hands, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for reliable accounting support.”
Sade B. “My accountant is Waseem and he does an excellent job, very responsive and helpful, in particular with going above and beyond and helping us to secure our R&D tax credit claims in conjunction with another partner agency, which has been very successful. I would recommend working with them.”

Questions about fees
Yes. Once we have agreed the scope you receive a written quote with a fixed monthly fee. It only changes if the work changes, for example if you register for VAT or take on staff, and we tell you before anything is added.
Because two companies with the same turnover can need very different amounts of work. A contractor with one client and ten transactions a month is not the same job as a shop with three staff. The online quote form takes about three minutes and gives you an exact figure.
There is no joining fee. We ask for a month's notice if you want to leave, and there is no minimum term. If you join part-way through a year we agree how the first year's accounts are handled and priced.
Yes, fees are shown excluding VAT at 20%. If your business is VAT registered you can reclaim it.
All packages are paid monthly by Direct Debit, which spreads the cost of the year-end work across the year. One-off jobs, such as a single tax return, are invoiced when the work is done.
That is common when people switch accountants. We look at where things stand, tell you honestly what catching up will involve, and quote for it separately so your monthly fee is not inflated by a one-off problem.
No. Email and phone support is included in every package. If a question turns into a piece of work, such as modelling whether to incorporate, we tell you first and agree a fee.
Not sure which package fits? See who we help or book a 15-minute call and we will tell you straight.
